Mary [Emby] Black, MSHE

Research Area Specialist

Emby Black, MSHE joined the Center for Sexuality and Health Disparities at the University of Michigan as research staff supporting Project Bright and Project Verve.

 

Emby earned their bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University in Written Communications with a concentration in Poetry and their master’s degree in Public Health Education from the University of Michigan-Flint.  They have a breadth of public health research and evaluation experience in areas ranging from the impact of public art on quality of life to perceptions of menopause across life stage.

 

When Emby isn’t working to empower the health and quality of life of their communities, they are writing poetry, playing music and painting poorly, but with joy.
