
Michael Miller-Perusse
Research Associate
Michael Miller-Perusse is a Research Associate on Project SWERVE, a study that focuses on substance use and HIV care among sexual and gender minority youth in Southeast Michigan. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is also certified in both individual and couple HIV testing and counseling.
Michael is passionate about research which contributes to elucidating and alleviating health disparities for individuals and communities at the intersection of oppressed identities, classes, and statuses, with a personal focus on the LGBTQ community. Specific interests include HIV prevention and treatment for sexual and gender minorities, access to gender affirming care, and sexual health education for LGBTQ young people.
