Stephen Sullivan, MPH
Stephen is the program manager for Project Nexus, a NICHD funded intervention study offering at-home HIV testing and remote HIV counseling to queer male couples across the U.S. He completed his MPH in Health Behavior & Health Education from the University of Michigan School of Public Health after receiving his B.A. in Anthropology at Michigan State University’s Honors College.
Since he started working with the center during his graduate study, Stephen refined both his qualitative and quantitative analytic skills, but always in service to practice-based research. He is passionate about HIV work and has volunteered as a HIV test counselor in the Ann Arbor area for over a year. He also enjoys using graphic design to create aesthetic programmatic materials for the center.
His research interests include the HIV prevention and care, PrEP utilization, socio-structural syndemics, sexual agreements, intersectionality, and geo-spatial health analysis.
