Shine

This is a national study of HIV+ people who are on the transfeminine gender spectrum and are in romantic partnerships of six months or more.

Study Details

Shine is a six month national study of HIV+ transfeminine people, including trans women and non-binary people. The focus is on how the quality of intimate partnerships affect HIV care and overall viral load. The study will be conducted through online surveys and mailed-in samples.

Frequency

For this study, participants will complete three online surveys in three month intervals and provide two blood samples at the start and end. This will track how various life factors are changing for participants and any possible connection with their viral load. Study compensation is tied to the completion of the surveys and samples.
